Featured Projects Armstrong Marine delivers 40 knot, fuel efficient Pilot boat fitted with Seafury Surface Drives  At speed during builder's trials in Washington Armstrong Marine, Inc. of Port Angeles Washington completed builder’s trials of a new 37 ft aluminum catamaran Pilot boat fitted with twin 455 hp Catapillar C7 Acert engines and SF26 Seafury Surface Drives. This is the second new construction project in the past two years that Armstrong Marine has elected to use Seafury Surface Drives due to their fuel efficiency, robustness, low maintenance and high reliability. During trials the boat reached a max speed of 40 kt, six knots higher than her required contract speed. In addition, at a cruise speed of 25 kt the 8 ton vessel burns a very economical 0.8 gallons of fuel per nautical mile. After successfully completing her trials, La Buga was trucked from Washington State to Miami, Florida, where she was off-loaded and driven on her own bottom to her home port in Guatemala.
