72' Merritt Sportfish vibration reduced 70% with Platzer custom six blade propeller


A pair of 36” diameter, 6 bladed Platzer Custom propellers were installed on the 72’ Merritt Sportfish Shann this past September.  Vibration measurements before and after the installation of the new custom propellers showed a 70% reduction in propeller induced vibration as compared to the existing 36” diameter, 5 bladed semi-custom propellers.  Max boat speed increased from 35.3 to 36.0 knots.
